The academic, behavioral and social-emotional development of students necessitates a system that provides varying levels of support based upon individual need. The efficient and effective operation of this system is dependent upon a Problem Solving Process.

Problem Solving is a process in which teams of educators (e.g., content area or grade level) come together and make instructional decisions based upon the best available data. The process is cyclical, consisting of four steps: (1) Define the Problem, (2) Develop a Plan, (3) Implement the Plan and (4) Evaluate.
